Platts to consolidate global hydrogen assessments

Following a short technical delay and continued industry consultations, S&P Global Platts will consolidate its hydrogen assessments into a new Market Data category to be labelled "HY", providing customers with a simpler way to access the assessments and price data.

The North American and Japan hydrogen assessments currently exist in the ES and GD Market Data categories and are duplicates. The Netherlands hydrogen assessments currently exist in the EG Market Data category.

Platts will discontinue the hydrogen symbols currently in the ES category, and move the hydrogen symbols currently in the GD category to HY. The Netherlands hydrogen assessments will also move, from the EG category into the HY category.

The change will be effective on December 8. The Platts hydrogen symbols will cease publishing in the ES, EG, and GD Market Data categories on December 7.

The changes will not affect the hydrogen assessments that currently publish in Platts publications.
