SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to change 65% iron ore assessment moisture content

Following a period of market feedback, Platts has decided effective October 1, 2015, to change the specification for its 65% Fe iron ore assessment.

Platts plans to amend the moisture content to 8.5%, from 4% moisture currently. The decision reflects typical moisture of products currently referenced in the assessment.

The other product specification terms of 65% Fe, 3.5% silica, 1% alumina, 0.075% phosphorus will remain unchanged, as well as all other terms.
