As part of the seasonal Reid vapor pressure shift in gasoline, Platts will begin US Atlantic Coast gasoline market supplemental assessments of 13.5 RVP gasoline beginning September 10, 2012, while the main assessment will continue to be 9 RVP. On September 17, the US Atlantic Coast main gasoline assessment will reflect 13.5 RVP while the 9 RVP will cease to be assessed. Platts will begin US Atlantic Coast supplemental assessments of winter-grade, 15 RVP gasoline October 22 while the main assessments will remain 13.5 RVP. Finally, Platts US Atlantic Coast main gasoline assessments will be 15 RVP on October 29, when the 13.5 RVP will cease to be assessed. These dates have been determined through market sentiment as well as consideration of current pipeline schedules.
