Platts is seeking industry feedback on a proposal to terminate its assessment of Las Vegas RBOB winter grade gasoline, pending a final decision from the US Environmental Protection Agency on Las Vegas' air quality.
This is a winter assessment that is published between October and March on PGA page 22 and in Oilgram Price Report, US Marketscan and Asia-Pacific/Arab Gulf Marketscan. The product code is AADDR00.
Pipeline operator Kinder Morgan has indicated that it will no longer ship Las Vegas RBOB, and will instead ship an 84-octane conventional gasoline year-round, depending on the EPA's final ruling, which is expected sometime in September.
Platts intends to create a new product assessment October 1, 2010, to reflect the proposed change.
