Subscriber note: Platts discontinues, launches Asian ferrochrome prices

Effective September 6, Platts has discontinued its FOB China High-carbon 60% Ferrochrome price assessment and has added two new weekly price assessments for the Chinese market: High-carbon Ferrochrome 58-60% CIF China and Charge Chrome 48-52% CIF China. Platts has also updated the specifications and names for its weekly Japanese ferrochrome price assessments to: High-carbon Ferrochrome 60-65% CIF Japan and NSSC Charge 0Chrome 50-55% Quarterly CIF Japan. The assessments are now all made on Fridays (or closest business day in the event of holidays).
