S&P Global Platts will launch two weekly, delivered, duty-paid European aluminum 6060/6063 standard billet assessments on Friday September 7, 2018. The launch is made on the back of regular and increasing market demand for greater pricing intelligence for the aluminum billet market. The first assessment day is Friday September 7, 2018. This follows a period of market consultation since July 2nd.
Aluminum billet 6060/6063 DDP Germany (ABGEA04, ABGEA03, ABGEA05, ABGEA16) Aluminum billet 6060/6063 DDP Italy (ABITA04, ABITA03, ABITA05, ABITA16)
The specifications are aluminum billet with a diameter of 7-inch or 8-inch, basis delivered duty-paid in Germany and Italy as a 6060/6063 billet on top of the aluminum LME cash price. Payment terms are 30 days for Germany delivered billet and 60 days for Italy delivered billet, with other payment terms normalized according to Platts standards. Minimum volume is 50 mt and the delivery window is prompt to 60 days and the currency and unit of measurement is dollars per metric ton. Platts will publish monthly-, quarterly- and yearly averages.
S&P Global Platts will also publish Eur/mt symbols as a currency conversion for both the USD/mt assessments for the weekly assessment and monthly average.
