Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to rename its FOB CVB basis Constanta corn assessment and FOB CVB basis Constanta wheat assessments effective Oct. 14, 2024.
In order to provide greater clarity on basis location, the assessments would be renamed as follows:
Wheat FOB CVB basis Constanta (12.5%) to Wheat FOB CVB (12.5%), symbol ACVBA00
Wheat FOB CVB basis Constanta (11.5%) to Wheat FOB CVB (11.5%), symbol ACVBB00
Corn FOB CVB basis Constanta to Corn FOB CVB, symbol ACVBC00
Platts understands that market participants do not differentiate between the three individual ports (Constanta, Varna, Burgas) when transacting on a FOB CVB basis.
