Atlantic LNG physical Platts Market on Close incrementability changes

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is changing the incrementability guidelines for the Market on Close assessment process for Atlantic LNG physical with immediate effect Sept. 1 to allow bids and offers to improve by up to 5 cents/MMBtu every 30 seconds, until further notice.

It had been 5 cents/MMBtu every two minutes.

All other timings remain unchanged.

The standard timing and increments for the MOC process can be found here: https://www.spglobal.com/commodityinsights/PlattsContent/_assets/_files/en/our-methodology/methodology-specifications/lngtiming.pdf

The change for Atlantic LNG physical reflects the current volatility in the market due to European gas market price movements and follows a similar increment change in the APAC LNG MOC.

Platts reserves the right to change incrementability guidelines in the MOC process throughout the day depending on evolving market conditions.

The changes apply to the Platts DES NWE, DES MED and FOB USGC assessments.
