Platts to publish Europe, Africa crude averages

Platts proposes to start publishing monthly averages for its European and African crude assessments on Platts Global Alert with effect from November 1, 2011, in line with a planned revamp of all European and African crude pages.

Platts has previously published monthly averages for European and African crudes in Oilgram Price Report, and in Platts Market Price database.

As part of this expanded coverage, Platts will start to publish calendar month averages for all daily assessments where they are not already published.

As announced in June, Platts will publish midpoints to three decimal places for averages, where they are not already published to three decimal places.
