Platts proposes change to standard LNG cargo volume considered Gulf Coast Marker (GCM)

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is proposing to update the cargo quantity reflected in its daily Platts Gulf Coast Marker (GCM) LNG price assessments, effective Nov. 1.

The proposals are in line with industry feedback and observed changes in trading patterns and norms.

The proposed standard LNG cargo quantity for Platts GCM would be 3.7TBtu, plus/minus 2% operational tolerance, compared to the current standard LNG cargo quantity of 3.5TBtu, plus/minus 2% operational tolerance.
