Platts proposes to discontinue various hydrogen price series

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to discontinue a number of assessments in North America, Europe, Japan, Australia, and the Middle East from Jan. 2, 2025.

The assessments are being rationalized to better reflect the emergence of greater clarity around the main prospective hydrogen hubs in North America, Australia and the Middle East.

In addition, a number of cost-based assessments that currently exclude CAPEX considerations are being discontinued.

Please note the original appendix included in the consultation did not include an assessment (Queensland Hydrogen Alkaline Electrolysis A$/kg, HYADK00) that should have been included in the consultation. The assessment has been included in the current proposal.

The full list of assessments is included in the appendix here.
