Platts to defer launch of container freight assessments to Sep 4

Following the announcement of the presidential election and a public holiday in Singapore Sept. 1, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will defer the launch of its 12 new daily spot container freight assessments to Sept. 4.

The new assessments will cover the following routes, and will be published under these codes:

The proposed assessments will reflect the transactable value at 5:30 pm Singapore time, for transporting 20-feet equivalent, or TEU, and 40-feet equivalent, or FEU, containers on those routes, for loading five to 25 days forward from the date of publication. The assessments will be published in $/TEU and $/FEU and follow the Singapore publishing schedule.

These assessments will be published in Platts Dry Freight Wire and Dry Freight Wire Monthly; on Platts Shipping Alert pages SHP0510, SHP0514, SHP0511, PGT4000, PGT4006, PGT4001, and in the Platts pricing database under the symbol codes above.
