Platts proposes including two Nalco additives in Singapore gasoil

Following a review of recognized additives included in the FOB Singapore gasoil assessment process, Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes to begin reflecting two new additives by Nalco.

These additives are:

Additive Name Additive Type

Nalco EC5961A Cold flow improver

Nalco EC5583A Conductivity improver

Nalco EC5961A is a rebrand of a Cold Flow Improver additive that is already reflected in the FOB Singapore gasoil assessments, while Nalco EC5583A is similar to Nalco EC5580A, which is also reflected in the FOB Singapore gasoil assessments list of additives.

The list of Platts gasoil recognized additives is intended to provide clarity to market participants regarding which additives are generally considered to be merchantable and accepted for cargoes delivered through the Platts Market on Close assessment process in Singapore.

Platts does not align its FOB Singapore additives acceptance to any particular importing country.
