Platts clarifies cargo volume used for LNG freight route cost calculations

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, wishes to clarify that the cargo volume used for LNG freight route cost calculations is 165,000 cubic meters.

As such, the methodology for LNG global freight route costs will now state:

Volume: cargo sizes of 155,000-180,000 cu m normalized to a standard volume of 165,000 cu m.

These freight cost assessments are published in Platts LNG daily and daily fixed pages LNG0600, LNG1600, NG1058.
