August 28, 2023
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has amended the Canadian condensate (C5) methodology to clarify condensate in the Edmonton/Fort Saskatchewan area as the basis of the assessment, effective Aug. 28.
The market may typically refer to this as C5 Fort Saskatchewan, for example.
Platts understands that there are many streams of Canadian condensate trading in the Edmonton area. Platts may normalize bids, offers and trades from any other location or stream of condensate back to an Edmonton/Fort Saskatchewan condensate basis.
The amendment affects the following symbols:
Condensate AALSF00
Condensate vs. WTI CMA AALSJ00
Condensate (C$/CM) AALSH00
