SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts to discontinue Lower Zakum, Umm Shaif yields, netbacks

Following feedback on a proposal to discontinue assessments of Abu Dhabi's Umm Shaif and Lower Zakum crude grades announced on April 7, 2014, yields and netbacks for each of the grades will be discontinued from September 1, 2014, at which point Platts will launch yields and netbacks for Das Blend crude.

Both Umm Shaif and Lower Zakum will have been blended together by Abu Dhabi National Oil Corp. to form the new Das Blend crude, which Platts started assessing May 2, 2014.

The Umm Shaif and Lower Zakum yields and netbacks are published on Platts Global Alert pages 2810, 2812, and in the Crude Oil Marketwire. Weekly yields and netbacks are published on PGA page 2814 and in the Oilgram Price Report.

The Lower Zakum yields, netbacks and margins are published in the Platts database under the following codes: TYANS00, TNANS00, TNANSMR, TYANU00, TNANU00, TNANUMR, FYANS00, FNANS00, FYANU00, FNANU00, TNANS03. The Umm Shaif yields, netbacks and margins are published under the following codes: TYATK00, TNATK00, TNATKMR, TYATM00, TNATM00, TNATMMR, FYATK00, FNATK00, FYATM00, FNATM0, TNATM03.
