S&P Global Platts proposes to launch new assessments for 500 CST, 3.5% sulfur bunker fuel on ex-wharf and delivered bases in New York. The new assessments, which would be launched November 1, 2016, would be published alongside all existing New York bunker fuel assessments.
The specifications reflected in the new assessments would conform to ISO 8217: 2010 specifications, category ISO-F, RMK 500. Platts is seeking feedback on the typical stem sizes.
The new assessments would sit within Platts existing assessment parameters for bunker fuel across the Americas. The assessments would reflect the value of oil at 2:30 pm ET, for loading or delivery three to seven days forward.
Please send comments and feedback by September 30, 2016, to americas_bunkers@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com.
