Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes discontinue mtCO2e conversions for European biomethane GOs waste assessments on Nov. 17.
There has been a market trend of greater emphasis on granular carbon intensity (CI) information as an indicator of value for biomethane certificates.
CI is also less effectively reflected by static conversion factors.
