Please join us for the Platts Fuel Oil Technical Workshop on Wednesday, September 16, 2015, at the Hyatt Regency Houston, 1200 Louisiana Street, Houston, Texas.
The central issue to be reviewed at the workshop is the proposed update to the specifications of Platts US Gulf Coast High Sulfur Fuel Oil assessment. On July 14, Platts proposed updating the specification reflected in this assessment to reflect IFO 380 3.5%S fuel oil specifications, and renaming this assessment as "USGC HSFO."
The goal of the update is to bring the specifications reflected in the assessment more closely into line with the current primary end-use for fuel oil, which is to meet bunker fuel demand by the maritime sector.
Platts would also like to invite feedback at the workshop on other issues related to its methodology and specifications for fuel oil in the Americas, including Gulf Coast terminal acceptance and the market outlook for lower sulfur grades of fuel oil in the Atlantic Coast and Gulf Coast markets.
When: Wednesday, September 16, 2015
Time: 8:30 am - 11:00 am
Where: Hyatt Regency Houston, 1200 Louisiana Street, Houston, Texas
