S&P Global Platts proposes to launch two new Panamax dry bulk freight assessments reflecting the increasing liquidity on bauxite routes from Kamsar, Guinea, and Trombetas, Brazil, to North China, effective November 1.
The new assessments would reflect the growing spot fixture activity on these routes basis 60,000 mt (plus/minus 10%) for meeting the bauxite requirements of Chinese aluimium producers.
The following new assessments are proposed: * Kamsar, Guinea, to Longkou, China, 60 kt * Trombetas, Brazil, to Longkou, China, 60 kt
The assessments would be published on a dollar per metric ton basis.
