Platts to discontinue ULSD DAP South Brazil assessments from Nov. 3, 2025
Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will discontinue ULSD DAP assessments for cargoes delivered to South Brazil effective Nov. 3, 2025. The discontinuation follows the decision to launch new port-specific all-origin assessments, which will streamline the Platts suite of assessments in the region while providing great transparency to diesel cargoes delivered on a DAP basis to Paranagua, Santos, Itaqui, Suape and Aratu respectively, in Brazil.
Platts currently assesses ULSD from all origins, including Russia, meeting Brazil's specifications in 250,000-350,000 barrel cargoes for delivery 15-30 days forward from the day of assessment on a DAP basis to Paranagua and Santos in South Brazil.
Platts will assess the value of ULSD from all origins arriving on a DAP basis at the ports of Paranagua and Santos independently from Sept. 15, 2025.
