Platts proposes discontinuation of ULSD DAP South Brazil assessments from Nov. 3, 2025

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, proposes the discontinuation of ULSD DAP assessments for cargoes delivered to South Brazil effective Nov. 3, 2025. The proposed discontinuation follows the proposed launch of new port-specific all-origin assessments, which will streamline Platts' suite of assessments in the region while providing great transparency to diesel cargoes delivered on a DAP basis to Paranagua, Santos, Itaqui, Suape and Aratu respectively, in Brazil .

Platts currently assesses ULSD from all origins, including Russia, meeting Brazil's specifications in 250,000-350,000 barrel cargoes for delivery 15-30 days forward from the day of assessment on a DAP basis to Paranagua and Santos in South Brazil.

Platts is proposing to assess the value of ULSD from all origins arriving on a DAP basis at the ports of Paranagua and Santos independently from Sept. 18, 2025. Platts already assesses the value of cargoes arriving from the US Gulf Coast on a DAP basis to Itaqui, Suape, Aratu, Santos and Paranagua.
