SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes to revise Colonial Pipeline Linden refined products methodology

S&P Global Platts proposes to revise the methodology for its Colonial Pipeline Linden gasoline and distillate assessments, particularly around cycles and location, effective October 1.

Platts proposes to revise its methodology for its diesel, gasoline, jet fuel and heating oil Colonial Pipeline assessments in Linden, New Jersey. The basis of the assessments would remain Linden, but delivery would no longer be restricted to Linden and would also reflect any offtake nomination along Line 3. Additionally, Platts would change the assessed cycle to the first full Colonial cycle prior to arrival at the start of Line 3 in Greensboro, North Carolina. Platts would roll the cycle one day prior to the barrels arriving in Greensboro. If the Colonial Pipeline schedule were to change, Platts would adjust the cycle roll date accordingly.

Currently, Platts assesses the next full shipping cycle delivering off the Colonial Pipeline into Linden, New Jersey. For example, if Cycle 44 ULSD will begin delivering to Linden on September 2, Platts would assess C44 until September 1 and roll to C45 on September 2.

The assessments affected by these proposed changes are:
