Platts to replace WCT Saharan Blend average

Platts will replace the monthly Saharan Blend Spot Average published in the World Crude Table effective August 31, 2011.

Currently, the Saharan Blend Spot average published in the WCT (AAIRW00) reflects a monthly average of the weekly average published in the Feeder Crude table.

The WCT Spot average thus does not match with the calendar average of spot daily Saharan Blend assessments (AAJIB00).

Platts proposes discontinuing the current WCT Spot average code (AAIRW00), and replacing that code with the calendar monthly average (AAJIB00).
