Platts to discontinue NCG, GASPOOL month-ahead assessments; THE to be introduced

S&P Global Platts will discontinue the German NCG and GASPOOL month-ahead contracts on Sept. 1, with the German THE month-ahead contract being introduced at the same time due to the upcoming German gas hub merger at the beginning of October.

Both NCG and GASPOOL month-ahead contracts will be discontinued from Sept. 1 onwards as well as all related conversions and dynamic symbols, with the monthly averages being discontinued on Oct. 1.

The THE month-ahead contract will be introduced on Sept. 1 and will be available on European Power Alert Fixed Page EP0802 and Natural Gas Alert Fixed Page NG0802, as will the conversions into pence/therm, $/MMBtu, and Eur/Gj.

The Monthly Averages will be introduced and will be found on EP0866 and EP0867 from Oct. 1 onwards, including conversions into pence/therm, $/MMBtu, Eur/Gj, and $/1,000 cu m.
