SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes to revise Asian Benzene CFR China berth size

S&P Global Platts proposes that information around trading activity at berths in ports with specific restrictions and/or implied optionality may no longer form part of the CFR China Asia Benzene assessment process from October 1, 2019.

Platts is proposing that terminals that cannot receive vessels larger than 5,000 deadweight tons may be deemed restrictive and excluded from the assessment process. The volume standard for assessment will remain 3,000 mt.

Platts clarifies that Jiangyin, Ningbo, Changzhou, and Caojing remain basis ports for the CFR China marker.
