Following a period of industry engagement and in response to moves by Transnefteprodukt to lower the sulfur specification for diesel in the domestic Russian pipeline system, Platts will adjust the Russian domestic diesel 0.2% FCA Moscow and FCA Ufa assessments to reflect Russian domestic 0.1% diesel, in line with the specifications for the pipeline.
The official announcement of the change in specification from Transnefteprodukt is expected in the third quarter of 2009, although the specific date is as yet unknown.
Platts will release a further note clarifying the date of the specification change when more details are available.
