Platts to launch European acetic anhydride spot assessments

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch a weekly DDP NWE acetic anhydride spot assessment, effective Sept. 19.

The weekly assessment, published in Eur/mt, will complement the existing Platts assessments of European acetic acid and will be assessed at the 4.30 pm London timestamp on Thursday, following the London publication schedule.

The new assessment was first proposed in a subscriber note published on July 30 and available here.

The assessment will be launched under the following codes:

ACEAA04 - Acetic Anhydride DDP NWE Eur/mt Weekly

ACEAA03 - Acetic Anhydride DDP NWE Eur/mt MAvg

Basis and Locations: Delivery duty paid Northwest Europe.

Standard spot cargo size: 20-25 mt

Product Specifications: 99.5% purity

Delivery: 3-30 days forward from the day of publication

The assessments will be available on Platts Connect and in Platts Europe and Americas Petrochemicalscan.
