Platts changes timestamp for Middle East Marker LNG assessments

S&P Global Platts has amended the timestamp reflected in its Middle East Marker (MEM) LNG assessments to 4:30 pm Singapore time (0830 GMT), effective August 16, 2019.

The change from the previous timestamp of 4:30 pm London time better aligns the assessment with Asia LNG trading hours, reflecting typical trading activity for LNG cargoes delivered to ports in the Middle East. The basis ports for the MEM are Mina Al Ahmadi, Kuwait, as well as Jebel Ali and Ruwais, UAE.

This change follows a proposal note published June 17, 2019.

The assessments and their associated data codes -- LMEMA00, LMEMB00, LMEMC00, LMEMD00, LMEME00 -- are published in LNG Daily and Platts Natural Gas Alert.
