Platts proposes to change the cargo size on the Handysize ferrous scrap dry bulk freight assessment from Rotterdam to Aliaga, from 25,000 mt to 30,000 mt. The proposed effective date is October 2, 2017. The proposed change is a result of industry feedback. Platts understands that charterers typically move Handysize steel scrap cargoes loaded out of Rotterdam, basis 30,000 mt. The assessments appear in Dry Freight Wire and under the code MSRAT00. Please send all comments or questions by August 21, 2017 to shipping@spglobal.com and pricegroup@spglobal.com.
