S&P Global Platts is correcting the July 28 and July 30 European Energy Exchange (EEX) Dutch Peak electricity prices and corresponding Netherlands hydrogen assessments, which were impacted because the EEX did not report the values correctly on the date of publication.
Hydrogen price assessments are calculated using different types of fixed and variable feedstock data, including daily EEX prices. The August 2020 EEX contract settled at Eur33.45/MWh on July 28, and Eur32.45/MWh on July 30.
Platts continuously reviews its pricing to streamline its cost-plus production prices, and is committed to further improvements as global hydrogen markets develop.
