Effective August 11, 2009, Platts will amend the formula for calculating differentials to Dated Brent on Asia Pacific crude grades, to reflect the differential against the underlying Dated Brent price for the corresponding month.
Currently, the differentials are calculated against the prevailing 10-21 day Asian Dated Brent assessment.
The methodology amendment will align Asia Pacific grades with Dated Brent differentials for other regional grades, such as West African crudes.
Please see the methodology update on www.platts.com for further details.
Please send comments and feedback to calvin_lee@platts.com with a cc to paul_young@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com.
