Platts proposes to add, drop locations in forward gas assessments

Platts is proposing to add one location to its daily forward assessments for North American natural gas and to discontinue one location. Platts would add Southern Natural, Louisiana, to the Platts-ICE Forward Curve Natural Gas North America effective September 27, 2012. The definition of the Southern Natural, Louisiana, location would be the same as for the Platts daily and monthly physical gas survey descriptions, which can be found in the North American Natural Gas Methodology and Specifications Guide on Platts.com at http://platts.com/MethodologyAndSpecifications/NaturalGas. Platts would discontinue the Trunkline, Louisiana, location in the Platts-ICE Forward Curve Natural Gas, effective February 26, 2013. Trading has increased in the forward market at the Southern Natural, Louisiana, location, but decreased at the Trunkline, Louisiana, location. The daily forward assessments for the 28 locations that comprise the Platts-ICE Forward Curve Natural Gas North America are published in the forward curve add-on to Platts Natural Gas Alert and via Platts Market Data in category GN. Please provide feedback or submit questions by August 24 to Brian Jordan at brian_jordan@platts.com with a cc to pricegroup@platts.com.
