Platts is seeking industry feedback on a proposal to introduce a daily US high density polyethylene assessment on October 3, 2011.
Platts would assess blowmolding grade quality for this assessment, and would consider volumes of 250 mt or greater.
The proposed assessment would reflect product loading 3-30 days forward from the date of publication basis FOB US Gulf Coast, for product with a melt flow rate of .25 or higher.
This new assessment would be published on PCA 572.
Please send feedback by August 23, 2011, to Kevin Allen at kevin_allen@platts.com, petchems@platts.com and pricegroup@platts.com.
