Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, has launched two weekly price assessments, FOB Tampa Granular Diammonium Phosphate (DAP) and FOB Tampa Monoammonium Phosphate (MAP), effective Aug. 7, 2025.

These assessments will capture market activity in the US Gulf and complement Platts' existing coverage of the DAP and MAP markets in the country.

Alignment of weekly range assessment methodology

Additionally, Platts has aligned the specifications and formalized the relationship between the new assessments and the established weekly Diammonium Phosphate/Monoammonium Phosphate FOB US Gulf, Bulk price assessment (FDPBA04), effective Aug. 7, 2025.

The low and high of the weekly DAP/MAP range assessment are now derived from the above proposed MAP FOB Tampa and DAP FOB Tampa assessments. For example, if FOB Tampa DAP is assessed at $650/mt and FOB Tampa MAP at $680/mt, the FOB US Gulf, Bulk DAP/MAP weekly range is reported as $650-$680/mt. No fresh market information to be considered in this assessment.

The specifications for the existing weekly assessment will also be adjusted to align with the above assessments. The new specifications for the DAP/MAP FOB Bulk US Gulf price assessment will read as follows:
