Platts to update Mexico natural gas transportation rates

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will perform its quarterly update to the natural gas transportation rates used in the calculation of the Mexico daily natural gas prices.

Platts is updating the rates for the recently launched new transportation rates methodology found here.

As part of this process, Platts will use the current rates in pipeline tariffs for the transportation routes, the September 2024 bidweek price for the Tennessee, zone 0, Waha, and SoCal Gas source locations, and the Aug. 30, Mexican peso to US dollar spot exchange rate.

The changes will be effective Sept. 2.
