Platts proposes publishing European Guarantee of Origin assessments

S&P Global Platts is seeking feedback on a proposal to launch European Guarantee of Origin (GO) price assessments, following market trends of increased liquidity in the renewable energy certificates sector.

Platts proposes to initially launch weekly GO price assessments for; Nordic Hydro and EU Wind, for current-year and year-ahead generation commencing September 6, 2019. The price assessments aim to reflect the prevailing value, in Eur/MWh, for delivery of GOs on Fridays at the 1:30 pm London time market close.
