Platts changes carbon price input in its European hydrogen models

After a period of industry consultation, S&P Global Platts has replaced existing quarterly carbon spot auction prices as an input for its Dutch and UK hydrogen valuations with newly launched daily Platts carbon pricing data, effective Aug. 2, 2021.

With this change, Platts will begin using the EU Emission Allowance Nearest December (EADLP00) and UK Emission Allowance Nearest December (AIDUK00) as daily inputs for its Netherlands and UK hydrogen valuations, respectively.
