Platts proposes to publish a daily Mean of Platts US Gulf Coast 3%S residual fuel "strip" assessment, as well as the differential to that assessment, beginning October 1.
The US Gulf Coast 3% sulfur strip refers to the average forward value for the US Gulf Coast residual fuel oil assessment period of 5-13 days from date of publication. In addition to the publication of the strip, Platts would also publish the differential between slurry, 1% residual fuel oil, 3% residual fuel oil and RMG 380 CST assessments and the strip.
These assessments would appear in the US Marketscan and on Platts Global Alert page 50.
