Platts proposes to discountinue NWE T1 spot methanol assessment

Due to changing market conditions and new industry practices, Platts has learned that T1 methanol prices assessed in the Rotterdam are no longer a relevant price reference.

Therefore, Platts proposes to discontinue its daily Northwest European T1 methanol price (PHACN00) published in $/mt CIF.

Platts also intends to discontinue the European T1 methanol weekly and monthly averages.

These assessments are currently published on the Platts Petrochemicals Alert (PCA) service line and are stored in the Platts database.
