Subscriber note: Platts to launch Italian power assessments

Following industry consultation, Platts has decided to launch daily assessments of the following over-the-counter Italian baseload electricity contracts on September 3, 2012: month-ahead, quarter-ahead, second quarter-ahead and year-ahead. Platts will also launch 50% and 60% efficiency spark spread and clean spark spread assessments based on month-ahead and quarter-ahead Italian power and Italian PSV gas assessments. Platts will apply the market-on-close methodology in line with all other European electricity assessments.
