S&P Global proposes to publish additional Import Parity Prices for ULSD, jet fuel and gasoline in Brazil, with effect from September 3. These prices will expand on those launched on November 9, 2018, to cover all 12 of the country's major refinery locations.
The existing import parity prices at five Brazilian ports will also be updated to include storage costs and inspection fees. The original launch note from November 2018 can be found here: https://www.spglobal.com/platts/en/our-methodology/subscriber-notes/110918-pl atts-launches-import-parity-prices-for-refined-products-in-brazil
Two new port prices, Manaus and Tramandai, will represent the cost of each product imported on the day of publication. They will include the product value, freight, demurrage, insurance, losses, marine taxes, storage, inspection, multi-port discharge optionality and quality differences, where applicable.
From these two ports, as well as the five Brazilian ports where Platts already publishes prices, trucking costs will be applied to show Import Parity Price at a further nine inland locations. These locations are:
Guamare Duque de Caxias Betim Cubatao Maua Paulinia Sao Jose dos Campos Araucaria Canoas
The new import parity prices will be published in $/barrel and in Brazilian Real/cubic meter.
