SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts discontinues CEE, Turkish power price assessments

As previously proposed on April 29, 2016 and communicated on May 23, 2016, S&P Global Platts has discontinued its daily power price assessments for the Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland and Turkey effective August 1, 2016.

The assessments which have been discontinued were published in Platts European Power Daily, on European Power Alert pages 210 (Czech), 78 (Hungary), 91 (Poland) and 260 (Turkey) and in Market Data category EE. Associated monthly average symbols in Market Data category EE and dynamic symbols in Market Data category PE were also discontinued from August 1.

The discontinuation of Turkish power assessments has also resulted in the discontinuation of the Turkish dark and spark spreads which were published in European Power Daily, on European Power Alert page 261 and in Market Data categories EE and EM.

Platts remains committed to providing quality market information and commentary in all European power markets and will continue reporting on the above markets' activity, news, events and policy. Platts European power price assessments will continue to focus on the northwest and southwest European OTC prompt and forward markets.

Platts will continue to publish exchange date for the Czech day-ahead and forward markets as well as Polish day-ahead exchange data in Platts European Power Daily and in Platts Market Data category ET. In addition, Czech OTE day-ahead indices data is published on European Power Alert page 455, Prague Energy Exchange (PXE) futures settlements on European Power Alert pages 48 and 49, and Polish Power Exchange summary on European Power Alert page 90.
