Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch three new weekly spot assessments for black high-density polyethylene with the pressure rating of 100, known as HDPE PE100, for the Turkish, Egyptian, and European markets, effective Sept. 3, 2025.
The assessments were first proposed in the subscriber note below:

The new assessments will provide transparency to the HDPE PE100 markets, while complementing Platts' existing suite of HDPE assessments.

Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized accordingly.
The assessments will reflect spot values on a weekly basis at 4:30 PM London time and will follow the London publishing calendar.
Existing weekly commentaries and rationales for European, Turkish and Africa polyethylene will be expanded to include HDPE PE100 and will continue to appear in Polymerscan, as well as on Platts Petrochemical Alert pages;
Europe - PCA521 and PCA513.
Africa – PCA787 and PCA 788.
Turkey – PCA789 and PCA790.
