SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts proposes to discontinue CIF Japan copper concentrate TC/RC assessment

S&P Global Platts is proposing to discontinue the Platts CIF Japan copper TC/RC (treatment and refining charges) assessment due to changes in supply flow and demand.

The last assessment day will be December 28, 2018. Platts is seeking feedback on this proposal by August 30, 2018.

The assessment, including its codes that Platts is proposing to discontinue are:

Platts Copper Concentrate CIF Japan (daily AAFGC00 and monthly average AAFGD00)

Platts is proposing to discontinue this assessment as a result of changing market dynamics and a lack of spot trading.
