Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, is clarifying the dollar conversions of four Japanese ferrous scrap Tokyo Steel list prices published in SBB Steel Markets Daily July 1-13, 2022.
The monthly prices published in the July 1-13 editions of Steel Markets Daily incorrectly displayed the June values.
The correct values for July are as follows:
Shindachi Bara - del Okayama - Tokyo Steel purchase (list) price
Shindachi Bara - del Utsunomiya -Tokyo Steel purchase (list) price
Shredded scrap A (auto) - del Okayama - Tokyo Steel purchase (list) price
Shredded scrap A (auto) - del Utsunomiya - Tokyo Steel purchase (list) price
Further, following Platts July 1 subscriber note stating that high and low price points have been discontinued for all Asia steel and scrap prices, Platts has removed the July 1 high and low entries in its price database for the four list prices in yen.
Their symbols are as follows:
Shindachi Bara - del Okayama - Tokyo Steel purchase (list) price
Shindachi Bara - del Utsunomiya -Tokyo Steel purchase (list) price
Shredded scrap A (auto) - del Okayama - Tokyo Steel purchase (list) price
Shredded scrap A (auto) - del Utsunomiya - Tokyo Steel purchase (list) price
The close price of all the symbols above continue to be published as usual.
