Platts will begin assessing CBOB and Premium-CBOB assessments shipped on the US' Laurel pipeline beginning September 13, 2010.
The CBOB assessment will have a minimum of 84 octane rating, while Premium-CBOB assessment will have a minimum octane rating of 91.
The 350-mile Laurel pipeline moves refined oil products throughout Pennsylvania, shipping oil westward from four refineries and a connection point in Philadelphia to the Colonial pipeline system to terminals in Reading, Harrisburg, Altoona/Johnstown and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
