Platts launches adjustments to daily US thermal coal export assessments

S&P Global Platts is launching its adjustments to the daily US thermal coal export assessments in effort to better reflect the US thermal coal market, effective July 31, 2020.

When calculated, absent of transactional data, the following assessments will be rounded to the nearest nickel:

• FOB Hampton Roads 6000 kcal/kg

• FOB Long Beach 6000 kcal/kg

• FOB Oakland 6000 kcal/kg

• FOB Vancouver 6000 kcal/kg

The adjustments take effect in Coal Trader and Global Coal Alert Page 360.
