Platts to launch US dense soda ash contract assessment

Platts, part of S&P Global Commodity Insights, will launch US dense soda ash contract price assessments, effective Aug. 1.

The new assessments will be published on a monthly basis and databased to the first working day of the month.

The specifications and terms of the new Dense Soda Ash assessment are as follows:

All market information reported to Platts may be considered and will be published in real time, including firm bids and offers, trades and indicative values.

Pricing information for material with other specifications and terms may be normalized to the standard.

Other market information deemed relevant and significant may be considered and weighed into the assessment process.
