SUBSCRIBER NOTE: Platts amends USGC styrene cargo size for spot assessments

Following a period of feedback after a formal proposal published May 23, 2016, S&P Global Platts is amending the cargo size for US M1 and M2 styrene spot assessments to 3,000-5,000 mt, effective July 18, 2016.

The previous standard cargo size that Platts considered for both its spot and contract assessments ranged from 1,000 mt to 5,000 mt. Platts will keep the contract assessment size at between 1,000 mt to 5,000 mt at this time.

The decision affects Platts' daily Styrene FOB US Gulf (AAIKW00 and AAJLW00) assessments. These assessments are published on page 339 on the Petrochemical Alert and in Europe and Americas Petrochemical Scan.
